Comments: Clinical neuropsychology is a specialty profession that focuses on brain functioning. A Clinical Neuropsychologist is a licensed psychologist with expertise in how behavior and skills are related to brain structures and systems. In clinical neuropsychology, brain function is evaluated by objectively testing several areas of cognition including general intellect, higher level executive skills such as reasoning and problem solving, attention/concentration, learning and memory, language, visual perceptual and visual spatial skills. Mood and personality may also be assessed. A very detailed report is produced that includes the diagnoses, case formulation and treatment recommendations.
